What these pages are.
This site describes what NOVA RFL builds and how it works. The specifications published here are the design and underwriting parameters we hold ourselves to; they take contractual effect when they are written into an agreement, and a signed agreement governs from that point.
Use the material for your own reference and to evaluate working with us. Where a page links onward to a third party, that party's own terms apply to what you find there.
These terms and everything on this site are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the emirate of registration, and the competent courts of that emirate have jurisdiction.

Who publishes this site.
The entity below is the publisher and the controller of personal data reaching it. The registered address and the trade license number are published here as soon as they are issued.

03 Intellectual property
The marks and the material.
The NOVA RFL name, the four-pointed star mark, the wordmark and the text, drawings and generated illustrations on this site belong to the entity named above, except where a license below says otherwise. Quote a passage with attribution and a link; ask us at legal@novarfl.com for anything beyond that, and for use of the marks.
04 Typeface
Cairo, under the SIL Open Font License.
This site is set entirely in Cairo. Copyright 2009 The Cairo Project Authors. Cairo is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1, and the full license text is served with the font at /fonts/OFL.txt. The license attaches no Reserved Font Name.
The copy served here is modified from the original in two ways, both permitted by the license and both recorded so anyone auditing the file can account for the difference:
- Instanced. The slant axis of the variable original is pinned at zero and removed, so the face has one upright form. Cairo has no italic and none is ever synthesised.
- Subset. The character set is reduced to the Latin characters, figures and punctuation these pages use, which is what makes a single weight-variable file small enough to serve as one request.
The weight axis is untouched: every weight on this site comes from the one variable file.
05 Provenance of figures
Where a measured figure was measured.
Figures on this site are of two kinds. Design and underwriting parameters are the values we build and invest to. Measured operating figures — cell accuracy, area under management and years in warehousing logistics — are measured across our operating partner's network, not NOVA RFL's own UAE record, and are attributed as such wherever they appear.
06 Accessibility
The standard this site is built to.
These pages are built to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Every text contrast ratio is measured, colour is never the only carrier of meaning, every page works from the keyboard, the content reads with scripting switched off, and the generated illustrations hold their information as text as well as picture and settle into a still state when a visitor asks for reduced motion.
